Duties
You will conduct highly specialized inspections ranging from very difficult to often controversial areas.
You will administer a fire protection and prevention training program (e.g., structural firefighting, aircraft crash and rescue response, fire prevention and emergency medical services, etc.) for a fire department.
You will Advise building officials on corrective action needed for code violations.
You will research technical manuals, fire codes, and trade references to reduce or eliminate fire hazards or conditions.
You will inspect a fire station to verify training objectives are accomplished and documented.
Requirements

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be

Qualifications
DoD Certifications Required: Fire Officer I and II, Fire Instructor I, NREMT and Incident Safety Officer. For GS-11 - You will also need Fire Instructor II. These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC, or ProBoard to meet the requirement.
For GS 10:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing training and safety programs in accordance with regulatory agencies; 2) Managing the development and implementation of emergency medical services training plan; 3) Conducting course research, providing quality assurance, and maintaining budgetary controls for all training requirements; and 4) Completing written reports of program effectiveness, training academics, and study outcomes in order provide recommendations. (NOTE: Your answer must be supported by information in your resume.)
For GS 11:
