You will serve as a PLANNER AND ESTIMATOR ELECTRONICS in the ???????MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND, PROGRAM MANAGEMENT DIVISION of MAINTENANCE CENTER ALBANY.

Duties

You will perform research on new parts for work in progress using technical manuals, blueprints, or drawings. You will recommend contingency plans to a project manager to resolve electronic problems. You will perform cost estimating and job cost analysis for new parts to support the workload for electronics mechanics. You will evaluate current production estimates and outputs using electronic charts and drawings. You will conduct inspections to diagnose and plan work sequences to expedite repair of electronic equipment.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: fabricating, modifying, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, designing, and/or repairing electronic equipment, electro-optic equipment, coordinating work in the shops, and initiating the procurement process for new parts.
