Duties
SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to perform the International Military Student Office (IMSO) functions for International Military Students (IMS) under Air Education and Training Command (AETC) at JBSA- Lackland, TX. Conduct all in-processing and out-processing functions. Coordinate and manage Registrar functions. Initiate and manage the Debit Card Program. Procure commercial airline tickets and baggage allowance authorizations to secure travel for IMS traveling to follow-on training (FOT) or homeland. Communicate with other CONUS IMSO on travel and FOT arrival information. Utilize the Security Assistance Network Web (SAN Web). Create and manage student training data for IMS training records and expedite to all CONUS FOT IMSO and CONUS Security Cooperation Offices (SCO).
DUTIES
Serves as Subject Matter Expert in arranging student FOT and/or homeland travel and baggage authorization.
Coordinates, schedules, and/or facilitates/conducts weekly DLIELC two-day in-process briefings for all entry IMS, and weekly out-processing briefings for all graduating IMS IAW JSCET, 37 TRW and DLIELC regulations.
Acts as DLIELC Registrar, coordinating weekly graduation eligibility and graduation certificate actions.
Provides ITO filing control and IMS training record management.
Acts as IMS debit card coordinator with ISS finance customer support technicians.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the Specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, GS-1702, Education and Training Technician Series,
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-06, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes: 1) Using computer database operations, electronic communications, Outlook functions, and Excel spreadsheets. 2) Applying a working knowledge of program data entry and data contents and methods for defining, retrieving and creating non-standard data reports. 3) Applying a working knowledge of common clerical practices and office routines. 4) Analyzing problems and developing and implementing appropriate solutions. 5) Communicating effectively to a broad range of individuals and groups, using tact, courtesy and diplomacy. 6) Discerning any possible future scheduling conflicts for assigned tasks/duties.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-06 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Ability to use computer database operations, electronic communications, Outlook functions, and EXCEL spreadsheets.
Knowledge of program data entry and data contents and methods for defining, retrieving and creating non-standard data reports.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
