About the Position: Serves as Program Analyst with responsibility for analyzing, implementing, and evaluating program areas and overall financial management in the Civil Works Management Division.

Duties

Advises management on the evaluation of the effectiveness of government programs and operations with responsibility for analyzing projects and accomplishing complex resource analysis for Project Managers, Engineers, and Scientists. Performs staff management of assigned programs, activities, missions, and functions Resolves issues in data provided by HQUSACE, extracts and verifies data from USACE Reporting tools to ensure NWD’s metrics are accurate. Advises management of the status of programs, recommends a course of action with respect to changes in program and assignment requirements.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Applying knowledge of program management sufficient to oversee planning and execution phases of program implementation; 2) Reviewing financial and budgetary information for Civil Works programs; and 3) Developing information papers, reports, and briefing materials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
