About the Position: Serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist with the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) located in Redstone Arsenal, AL. The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12/13. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement.

Duties

Implement logistics policies, processes, and/or programs for major, highly complex weapon systems acquisition in the areas of Logistics Support. Ensure compliance with policies and recommends policy changes to fit requirements of new systems. Identify problems and develop innovative solutions. Mentor employee's professional growth enhancing self-development via work assignments, formal and informal trainings. Incorporate ways to improve business processes increasing the quality of work and production.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance throughout duration of employment.
• This position requires pre-employment Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously complete
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
• One-year probationary period may be required.
