About the Position: Serves as a Knowledge Management Specialist responsible for the Knowledge management program providing technical guidance and advice to the organization. Ensures maximum system utility and speed of access to enhance job performance and mission contribution of ID-T and subordinate garrison personnel.

Duties

As a Knowledge Management Specialist, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list: Establishes and monitors the KM project development initiatives as assigned. Aids managers in achieving maximum efficiency in organization while complying with Department of the Army (DA) goals Develops program guidance for knowledge management projects Leverages the latest network and telecommunications technologies to provide access to knowledge products for ID-T and subordinate garrisons through online internet, intranet, and network access. Pursues knowledge sources across IMCOM, Army, and Department of Defense (DoD). Assists in the development of policy and processes for the capture, storage, and retrieval of knowledge content (e.g., human capital, workload, administrative, manpower, etc.). Designs, creates, develops and maintains the databases and servers for knowledge dissemination to an audience in excess of 500 users. Serves as the Site Administrator for SharePoint by researching software capabilities and novel ways to share and collaborates and implements within the Directorate.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.
  • Business travel required 15% of the time.

Qualifications

The Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Directorate - Training (ID-T) is responsible for the Mission Command and leadership of 17 US Army Garrison commands and Support Activities that deliver and integrate Base Support services on Army installations to enable Army readiness. ID-T is aligned with the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), the U.S. Military Academy, and the U.S. Army War College and is physically located at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, thereby, better enabling close collaboration with HQ TRADOC.
