Duties
You will lead the review of actions from OPNAV, HQMC, JCS, OSD and others, primarily relating to arms control implementation and compliance and recommend the appropriate response.
You will perform and/or direct necessary draft and final treaty text analysis to support U.S. negotiation positions, policy assessments, implementation planning, and on-site verification activity.
You will keep abreast of and recommend action to support DON arms control compliance and implementation activities.
You will evaluate research and development, testing, weapons systems acquisition, exercises, doctrine, or operations for compliance with treaty requirements.
You will conduct outreach to DON activities to identify research and development, testing, acquisition, exercises, doctrine, or operations to support compliance with treaty requirements.
You will develop and execute methods and procedures to analyze treaties and agreements as they apply to DON acquisition life cycle.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band NH-02 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating international arms control treaties and agreements including the arms control implementation and compliance (ACI&C) policy and guidance to effectively and efficiently plan and develop recommendation for the arms control program policy while ensuring compliance with treaty provisions.
