This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in the Off ice of Personnel and Information Security (NNP), Off ice of Security and Continuity of Operations (NN)within the Chief Administrative Off ice (CAO) (N).
A successful candidate in the Program Analyst (INFOSEC) position will serve as a Program Analyst for enterprise-wide analytic initiatives related to information protection and information security program implementation and performance.
Duties
As a Program Analyst (INFOSEC), you will:
Conduct in-depth and complex analysis of assigned initiatives such as business process assessments, metric management, data management, data querying, documentation, and establishing analytics around enterprise information protection initiatives.
Evaluate and advise on the methods and procedures for the effectiveness of information protection support systems for information repositories, internal controls for granting access, evidence collection for compliance, training and communications, directives, forms, files, and documentation.
Interpret, review and analyze broad policies, regulations, procedures, and system(s) requirements promulgated by higher authority to determine their impact on local operations and is responsible for their effective application and for developing adaptation and implementing guidance.
Oversee the preparation and submission of various reports, audits, and provide on-demand information/data to management and staff.
Plan, design, coordinate, and conduct comprehensive benchmarking studies that identifies and recommends implementation of best practices and methodologies.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: 1) Analyzing the management practices, methods, and administrative operations of an organizational unit to determine their level of efficiency and effectiveness; 2) interpreting broad policies, regulations, procedures, and system(s) requirements to determine their impact on local operations; 3) conducting routine analysis to determine efficiencies for the development of efficiency improvements measures, reducing costs, increase timeliness.
