This position is located in the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), National Water and Climate Center (NWCC).
Serves as the Supervisor working under the direction and leadership of the NWCC Director. Responsible for providing leadership, management, evaluation, and technical direction to the subordinate staff.
Duties
Provide supervision of a diverse team to direct and work across multiple teams on implementation of a variety of business process performance management initiatives, such as communications, budget, procurement, and data management.
Oversee the execution of products, policies, and procedures within the organization and is responsible for staff management, coordination, and execution of mission support programs that support organizational goals.
Provide subordinate staff with guidance and procedures designed to effectively support the mission requirements of the organization.
Provide comprehensive, programmatic advice and assistance in the management of financial and personnel resources within section.
Responsible for attainment of operational plans, goals, and objectives.

Qualifications

Time In Grade Requirement: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. (Please submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No Award or General Adjustment SF-50's will be accepted).
To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, you must meet the following:Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service performing the following duties:
Analyzing and evaluating work requirements to determine goals and objectives;
Developing cost effective program to meet mission goals;
Providing guidance for area programs in regard to program execution, scope, cost and budget; and
Directing organizational functions, in accordance with agency mission.
Note: There is no education substitution for the GS-14 level.
