THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a GROUP SUPERINTENDENT, Position Description Number D2397000 and is part of the WY 153rd Operations Group, Wyoming Air National Guard.
This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.
Duties
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the principal advisor to the group commander for enlisted and other operational matters. The group superintendent provides leadership and management in organizing, training, and equipping assigned airmen (drill-status, Active Guard Reserve, Title 5 employees and Title 32 dual status technicians) in subordinate squadrons to support the Air and Space Expeditionary Forces construct.
(1) Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
(2) Advises the group commander on assigned program areas of responsibility.
(3) Advises, carries out, and monitors the Group Commander's organizational policies, programs, and standards applicable to the enlisted force.
(4) Develops, participates, and provides guidance in planning, publicizing, and administering ANG enlisted awards, recognition and promotion programs.
(5) Serves as the commanders representative at staff meetings and councils and when conducting tours through group areas.
Qualifications
AREA OF CONSIDERATION:
Primary consideration will be made from Area 1.
Area 1: Must be a current permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ANG employees assigned to the 153d Operations Group.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration; compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information; progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled; experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must possess at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level; experience, education or training in program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions; experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations; experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures; experience preparing written communications and oral presentations.
NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar - 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement.
