You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN/ENTARCH) in the Command and Control Communications and Cyber (C4) Operations Division (J63) of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Duties
You will proactively engage with stakeholders including theater functional and service components, sub-unified commands, support agencies, and subordinate joint task forces.
You will collect operational information including, but not limited to, exercise objectives, operational priorities, requirements, concepts of operation, schemes of maneuver, and schemes of support.
You will manage projects as assigned and conduct associated project management activities.
You will contribute to improving the organization (branch, division, and directorate), including adapting to changes in organizational relationships, policies, technologies, and other factors.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role codes 752/801/802, proficiency level 01 the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
GS-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following:
Managing, leading, or administering IT project resources and making improvements,
Solving problems, and taking corrective action when problems arise with terrestrial transport, satellite communications (SATCOM), radio frequency (RF) spectrum, DoD Information Networks (DODIN);
Acting as a subject matter expert on related policies and processes such as mission assurance (MA), defense critical infrastructure (DCI), cybersecurity, DoD information network (DODIN) operations, and defensive cyberspace operations (DCO);
Leading efforts to document and refine roles, responsibilities, products, and processes for any and all aspects of the organization.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following:
Supporting analysis and production of status reports, operational readiness assessments, concepts of support, or other reports or documents as assigned to support planning and leadership decision-making on IT project resources;
Managing information requirements for event and problem reporting and tracking IT project resources and recommending improvements;
Working with leadership to define IT project scope, requirements, and deliverables;
Participating in using available or new information systems in innovative ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
