You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA)/CLASSROOM SCHEDULER in the RANGE AND TRAINING AREA DIVISION of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII.

Duties

You will be responsible for the execution of the Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS) scheduler and classroom monitor. You will accomplish tasks in an environment with changing administrative, scheduling, classroom, and supply support requirements. You will coordinate a wide variety of classrooms (i.e., Computer Based Classrooms and Non-Computer Based Classrooms) for external and internal customers. You will serve as the primary point of contact and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all MTD and acts as the alternate point of contact on all simulation devices. You will review and de-conflict classroom training requests. You will approve classroom training requests when appropriate. You will contact units to coordinate issuance and return of keys to the classroom. You will conduct pre and post training use inspections of the classrooms. You will assist unit with use of Audio-Visual equipment in classroom. You will conduct weekly inventory of classroom assets. You will maintain supply of classroom consumables and coordinate purchase of classroom supplies. You will facilitate access to classrooms for inspection and maintenance on shared systems such as building Heat Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) and electrical/fire panels. You will prepare annual classroom budgets. You will review contract documents including Statements of Work and develop Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans along with checklists to ensure that contractors are adequately performing contracted work.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing office and administrative support functions including, but not limited to, records management, drafting and preparing correspondence, and/or managing suspense and tickler systems. One full year of graduate level education that is directly related to the position being filled.
