About the Position: This is a permanent position with U.S. Army Cadet Command, 1st Brigade Headquarters at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Duties
Serves as primary reviewer of Cadet Accessions documents from subordinate units for submission to higher headquarters.
Provides guidance and assistance to subordinate units on all aspects of document preparation and submission.
Thoroughly screens and verifies data on the four components of all submitted packets, especially the Cadet Evaluation Report and the Cadet Record Brief.
Identifies any discrepancies in the Packet and independently coordinates with Battalion, Region, or Headquarters to resolve outstanding issues prior to Brigade Commanders endorsement.
Cross-trains the Brigade personnel as required to ensure the Brigade administrative personnel are prepared to serve as members of the Brigades Accessions Packet Review Board.
Interprets Brigade Commanders broad guidance and acquires supplemental information and prepares endorsements of actions as required.

Specialized experience is defined as work performed at the GS-06 level in federal service work that involves Review personnel documents for accuracy prior to uploading into an automated personnel systems; Conduct quality control checks of personnel documents to ensure compliance with regulations; Assist with the identification of database discrepancies to resolve issues; Utilize an automated system to prepare complex documents such as correspondence, orders, memoranda, forms, or reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-06)

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
