About the position:
This position will be assigned to the Arts & Craft facility of the 6th Force Support Squadron Community Services Flight.
Duties
Manufactures custom frame projects following prepared work orders with specific information from patrons. Determines the requirements for the specific design and matting by, measuring and cutting. Recommend and assist customers with custom design options with matting, color options, etc. Fills customized orders using the correct methods and techniques used in framing, i.e., corner joints, glass cutting, etc. Instructs customers on the use of the frame shop's equipment, policies, and facilities by teaching classes on a periodic basis. Assists customers in the proper use of tools and materials needed for framing projects. Prepares cost sheets for customers to make payment. Conducts periodic inventory of all merchandise, supply and equipment within the frame shop. Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the frame shop.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Qualifying Experience:
Must have knowledge of custom picture framing and be capable of instructing custom framing in a classroom setting. Must have the ability to use framing equipment and tools, to include matte cutter, corner chopper, glass cutter and corner joiner. Must be able to exhibit a knowledge of composition, design and colors. Applicant must have experience which provided a working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs, and practical knowledge of recreational activities and equipment used in arts and crafts skills development.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
