About the position: This position will be assigned to the 6th Force Support Squadron Community Services Flight Information, Tickets and Travel MacDill AFB, FL (AMC.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background investigation. Must be able to lift and carry10 lbs. on a recurring basis and as much as 50 lbs. occasionally. Position may require an uncommon tour of duty to include some holidays, weekends, and evenings.
Duties
Sell over the counter and internet based tickets from Local and National Attraction Theme Parks.
Provides information on local amusements and general tourist information.
Responsible for and maintains personal allotment of tickets. Orders tickets from management when needed, maintains daily ticket inventory log for accountability.
Collects money through cash, check and charges. Issues receipt for all sales.
Prepares daily individual Cashier's Report at the end of shift.
Completes end of month inventory for all tickets under their responsibility.
May be asked to perform as a Travel Advisor issuing airline, cruise and resort packages through online resrevation. resources.
Keeps supervisor advised of any major or unusual problems which may arise during tour of duty.
Replenishes brochures on racks and orders when out of stock.
Ensures work environment is clean; vacuuming, sweeping, mopping of floors, wiping down all glass areas.
Will work under supervision of Information, Tickets and Travel Manager who provides guidance when performing new or procedurally complex duties.
Performs other duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
Must have working experience or practical knowledge of travel industry rules, regulations and procedures. Experience with professional travel agent computer based travel reservations and ticketing software is preferred. Must have cashier handling experience and possess skill in dealing with the public. Simple bookkeeping/accounting experience and/or experience in retail sales which has provided a technical knowledge of salesmanship is highly desirable. Requires practical knowledge of computer programs to include Microsoft Office suite. Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing. Must be able to read, write and speak english.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
