This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (OCAO), Supplies, Services, and Material Management Division (SSMMD), Property Management Branch. The incumbent is responsible for fleet management services in support of leasing or purchasing, operation, maintenance, and disposal of AOC motor vehicles.

Qualifications

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position.  You must meet all eligibility and qualifications requirements by the closing date of the job announcement.  Additional information on the qualification requirements is outlined in the OPM Qualifications Standards Handbook of General Schedule Positions.  It is available for your review on the OPM web site at OPM qualification standards Within the resume, candidates must demonstrate evidence of the specialized experience which relates to the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the position. Candidates for the GS-12 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower (GS-11) grade level in the Federal service.  Specialized experience for this position includes the following: Ability to develop fleet management plans and directives for use within the AOC vehicle fleet. Ability to analyze information and reports to ensure efficient and effective fleet management program accomplishment. Thorough knowledge of commercial and federal transportation industry practices and procedures and the established regulations, requirements and techniques related to GSA fleet management programs as it applies to the AOC fleet management. Skill in making clear, logical and concise presentations, both orally and in writing. Ability to conduct and evaluate day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and economical use of AOC vehicles.
