About the Position: This Position located at Womack Army Medical Center, is the primary point of contact for customers and staff utilizing the patient appointment system and will prepare reports, schedule appointments and perform clinical operation functions. Fort Liberty is co-located with Fayetteville in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys seasonable weather year round and is surrounded by several colleges and universities.
Duties
Review provider schedules for accuracy and compliance with access standards, guidance and clinic specific protocols.
Utilize automated systems to develop master schedules.
Review patient appointment procedures to provide assistance and training.
Coordinate work to accomplish the patient appointment system activities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position is designated as emergency essential the incumbent must continue to perform the duties and requirements of the position to ensure the success of combat operations or to support combat essential systems subsequent to mobilization.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain a favorable result from a National Agency Background Check as a condition of employment.
- Position is designated as adverse weather essential, and incumbent will be so designated on a rotating basis with other assigned administrative personnel.
- Incumbent may be required to work on an occasional Federal Holiday or evening to cover extended clinic hours.
- This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work performing administrative support functions such as, scheduling patient appointments, receiving telephone calls, making personal inquiries to obtain required information and experience using automated processing systems for data entry.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
OR
Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
