About the Position: Technical advisor in the G-3, Strategy, Concepts, & Capabilities Directorate. This position supports Headquarters U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC) located on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.
Duties
Manage, develop, coordinate, and integrate input into DoD, Army, and Army Materiel Command (AMC) strategic planning processes and documents for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology.
Analyze complex issues to identify key variables and develop practical and innovative solutions based upon knowledge of organizational goals.
Identify, verify, and assess causes and methods to resolve problem areas or policy impediments that affect strategic planning and life cycle management.
Participate in the integration and prioritization of strategic planning and life cycle management resources, in response to Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES) activities.
Advise and provide recommendations to General Officers/Senior Executives concerning major decisions and potential changes in program direction.
Requirements

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: utilizing logistics management and integrated logistics policies to analyze and evaluate assigned systems/projects; executing materiel requirements such as acquisition functions/systems; assessing the impact of decisions made in the planning, programming, budgeting and execution (PPBE) system; AND advising leadership on the impact of current and future environmental changes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
