Duties
Serve as the Chief, Operations and Plans Division, Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security at Fort Eisenhower's Garrison within the Installation Management Command (IMCOM).
Responsible for the execution of operational plans and policies for the garrison, impacting regional agencies and assigned units within the installation.
Manage the Installation Operations Centers daily to ensure current and emergency operations actions are reported to higher leadership and mission commands.
Oversee the USAG Organizational Inspection Program management program.
Coordinate operations across 18 USAG Directorates and 16 Army and Sister Service General or Brigade level mission commands to ensure the installation customers needs are met.
Manage the plans and operations support for the installation Protection Branch (Antiterrorism and Emergency Management).
Evaluate subordinates' work within the division to assure reasonable equity and performance standards are being met.
Coordinate with other organizations through leading cross directorate working groups to provide employees advice on future strategies and outcomes.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position requires temporary duty travel from the duty station up to 10 percent of the time.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position is subject to be on-call during emergency operations and work extended hours to meet mission and supervisor requirements.
- This position is inclement weather essential.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes directing the formulation, coordination and execution of operational plans and policies for an installation to include the following- current and future garrison operations; tasking management (IMCOM, TRADOC and local installation / community support); installation operations center; readiness reporting; mobilization; stationing and force development; deployment support; funeral honors, ceremonies and major events; installation master calendar management; organizational inspection programs; installation common use auditoriums; coordinates plans and operations actions with Protection Branch staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12 or above).
