You will serve as a SUPPLY SPECIALIST in the OPERATIONS BRANCH, PUBLIC WORKS BUSINESS LINE of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.

Duties

You will plan and coordinate the installation bulk and retail fuel supply points mechanical systems operations. You will enter and review information into different fuel management systems. You will ensure that timely and accurate daily transactions processing is completed by base level Defense Fuel Supply Points (DFSPs). You will monitor the fuel handler and contractor's performance in the receipt, storage and Issue of Petroleum, Oils and Lubricant (POL) items. You will perform accounting transactions pertaining to requisitioning, procuring, scheduling, ordering and document preparation for ground fuels.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Bargaining Unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing and maintaining accountability of the installation Bulk and Retail Fuel accounts. 2) defining problems and collecting data. 3)Taking or recommending actions based on established guidelines. 4) Applying knowledge and understanding of Defense Fuels Supply Point (DFSP) operations.5) Reading and interpreting environmental regulations and policies to ensure compliance with local. state and federal requirements. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:


master's or equivalent graduate degree

Or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

Or
LL.B. or J.D., if related

Or

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
