You will serve as a Support Equipment Senior Logistics Management Specialist in the Design Interface/Maintenance Planning Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Duties
You will prepare, plan, and execute the procurement of materials and modification procedures for aircraft weapons system
You will develop and recommend major changes in modification processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency
You will interpret department policies and directives to determine their impact on program operations and make any necessary technical or scheduling adjustments to ensure all requirements are met
You will investigate product or procedural failures to isolate the cause and implement solutions, providing technical support and guidance to team members as needed
You will apply key concepts of Integrated Logistics Support elements to develop accurate plans and work processes to support maintenance planning, design interface, and support equipment for various aircraft weapons systems.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Preparing, planning, and executing the procurement of materials and modification procedures for aircraft weapons systems. Developing and recommending major changes in modification processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
