This position is in the Flight Program Operations, Maintenance Control organization. Incumbent is responsible for aircraft maintenance planning activities including state of the art aircraft management systems that track, forecast, predict, and control scheduled aircraft maintenance under an approved Continuous Maintenance Program.
Duties
Develops and implements detailed maintenance plans for each aircraft in the fleet to ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements. Analyzes aircraft maintenance history and performance data to predict future maintenance needs and plans accordingly. Ensures timely accomplishment of aircraft maintenance with a minimum impact on flight inspection services, worldwide. Makes on time decisions for maintenance schedule to resolve conflicts among maintenance and daily operations schedule. Prepares an accurate accounting of maintenance operations, including forecasting costs for parts, labor, and downtime for managerial review. This position requires a FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate.

Qualifications
To qualify for this FV-I (FG/GS-13) position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-H (FG/GS-12) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes: experience applying knowledge and expertise in aircraft maintenance planning activities to include: utilizing state of the art aircraft management systems that track, forecast, predict and control scheduled aircraft maintenance under an approved Continuous Maintenance Program; Experience working with electronic maintenance databases and/or systems, aircraft parts, components, and accessories; Experience utilizing production methods and practices employed in electronics and supporting shops.In addition to the minimum qualifications, the following has been determined to be a selective factor for this position. This means possession of this criterion is part of the minimum qualifications and is essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
