You will serve as an EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR in the Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific (EWTGPAC) of OFFICE OF THE COMMANDING GENERAL. Initial consideration for this announcement is limited to the number of applications listed at the top of this announcement (50). Duties

You will provide professional and technical advice on Fleet and Marine forces support, analysis, doctrine, and assessment to Commanding Officer regarding the impact of policies, proposals, decisions on strategic management of workforce planning, etc. You will provide administrative program direction to eight Directorate/Branch heads that encompass administration, supply, logistics, communications, LVC, exercises, training, and finances. You will develop and recommend changes to the Command's administrative policies and procedures to improve operations. You will collaborate and plan with other managers and appropriate personnel to negotiate, decide on, and coordinate and/or integrate organizational operations. You will review financial and budgetary programs for potential over-obligation, low fun utilization and resource requirements.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an TOP SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • Must be willing and able to perform temporary duty at locations other than my permanent duty station which may include travel by military or commercial aircraft/flights.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector serving as a strategic advisor on command level issues involved with military, civilian, contract personnel, budget, services, and operations; directing short and long range work plans, schedules, and programs to address current and planned future operations; providing leadership to promote the effective management of resources and assets to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of programs designed to meet the mission requirements; formulating program goals, plans, and policies related to U.S. Naval/Expeditionary/Amphibious operations/ warfighting concepts that directly impact the organizational strategic direction.
