Qualifications

NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for the GS-12 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level defined as conducting projects and/or studies to evaluate environmental program performance and efficiency; preparing and analyzing reports. To qualify for the GS-13 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level defined as conducting projects and/or studies to evaluate environmental program performance and efficiency; preparing and analyzing reports; and communicating recommendations on program activities and/or metrics. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of administrative policies. Ability to analyze programmatic operations sufficient to develop recommendations for improvement. Knowledge of agency and federal hiring policies, procedures and guidelines. Skill in strategic management. Skill in program management. Skill in written communication. Skill in oral communication. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
