This position is located in the Executive Office of the President (EOP), Office of Administration (OA), Office of the Chief Security Officer, Personnel Security Division. The incumbent serves as the Division Director, leading a staff of Personnel Security Specialists in the, management, administration and implementation of policies and programs in support of EOP personnel security programs.
Duties
As a Supervisory Personnel Security Specialist, GS-0080-15, your typical work assignments may include the following:
Serves as a technical expert for developing, amending, modifying, reviewing, and assessing all policies, procedures, programs, requirements, and practices relating to personnel security.
Administers the operations of personnel security programs for the EOP, ensuring compliance with federal policies, procedures, regulations and Executive Orders.
Determines national security or entry access requirements, suitability/eligibility and security of individuals for entry and retention into sensitive positions.
Ensures security clearance determinations for employees or other persons requiring access to sensitive or classified information, resources, materials, or work sites are in compliance with federal regulations related to national security and/or suitability issues.
Advises leadership on personnel security policies and procedures, strategic initiatives, modernization, and program management.

- The agency requires 30 days on site before being eligible to participate in the telework and/or alternate work schedule program.
- Relocation expenses will not be paid.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must meet the qualification requirements outlined below to be considered minimally qualified for this position. The qualification requirements are in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management Qualification Standards.
TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band in Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the next lower grade or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector.
ALL QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE MET BY THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.
You may qualify at the GS-15 level, if you meet the following minimum qualification requirement:One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector which includes: 1-Reviewing the adequacy of personnel investigative reports used in determining suitability for employment in a highly sensitive environment and having access to information of the highest sensitivity, to include classified information; 2-Evaluating the sensitivity determination for all levels of Agency positions; and 3-Supervising staff in conducting adjudications, granting personnel security clearance, determining agency suitability for employment
