Duties

Skilled in passing instructions and assigned tasks received from supervisor to co-workers Ensure needed meal plans, and material tools are available and needed stock is obtained from supply locations Providing guidance to employees on policies, procedures, written instructions and other directives Ensuring compliance with instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods and deadlines.

• This position may require the incumbent to work during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, on call, and/or varying work schedules.
• This position requires a medical physical.
• Employee is required to wear protective gear.
• Must be able to obtain/ maintain a Food Handler's Certification.
• This position has been identified as weather essential. May be required to report to work during times of inclement weather.
• A favorable National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI) may be required for this position.

Regularly lifts and moves objects weighing up to forty pounds with some occasional lifting of heavier items with assistance. Regularly pushes food carts weighing 45 pounds. Working Conditions: The area is generally well lighted however is considered hot as is typical of kitchen areas in which ovens and steam constantly produce heat and humidity. The area is frequently noisy with exposure to burns, cuts, bruises, scrapes or broken bones resulting from falls or slips on wet surface, hot liquids, foods or cooking surfaces, equipment or utensils. The employee follows prescribed safety procedures and is required to wear safety shoes.
