About the Position: The pay band NH-04 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-14/15. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
Duties
Serves as the Demand Division Chief overseeing the demand planning and order fulfillment supply chain functions of the weapon system’s product support strategy.
Supports supply chain management integration across the IPS Elements to optimize Class II, IX for system suitability, affordability, reliability, availability, maintainability and operational effectiveness throughout the system life cycle.
Supports the weapon system manager developing and documenting the supply and maintenance support strategy, in applicable documentation, IAW policy and regulatory guidance.
Makes decisions on recommendations presented by subordinate supervisors and sets priorities and schedules.
Provides consultation and evaluation to the Director concerning plans, policies/programs, the allocation of funds and materiel.
Manages complex supply chain planning and execution programs.
Applies the concepts and theories of logistics and supply chain management to conduct studies to develop operational methodologies, to analyze the impact of current activities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

About the position: This is a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist (Demand Division Chief) position. Serves as the Demand Division Chief overseeing the supply chain functions of demand planning and order fulfillment supporting the planning, development, implementation, and management of effective and affordable product support strategies throughout the weapon system life cycle.

Specialized experience: 1) Leading a supply chain team or project. 2) Collaborating with internal/external partners to maintain supply chain performance. 3) Using data analytics to support strategic initiatives and/or inform senior leader decisions.
