Duties
Provide assistance to assigned project teams in budgeting and cost analysis.
Analyze functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds
Interpret standard organizational budgetary accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations.
Reconcile a variety of accounts and financial transactions within multiple systems.
Compile and summarize financial and/or budget information related to assigned areas of a financial program.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
- This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations.
- This is a DOD Financial Management position. The incumbent must complete training and meet position requirements for certification at Level 2 within 2 years of appointment. Failure to obtain and maintain certification may result in adverse action.

In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes aiding with assigned areas on accounting and budgeting functions, such as analyzing financial document, budget submissions, and reimbursable funding actions ; reconciling financial data/reports and executing financial management automated systems (i.e. General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS)/ Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE)/ Wide Area Workflow (WAWF)/Defense Travel System (DTS) /Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), to enter and extract accounts data reports pertaining to payroll/cash control or benefit systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position such as: Accounting, Finance or Economy. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
