About the Position: This position is assigned to the Program Executive Office Soldier, Project Manager Soldier Lethality.
Duties
Prepare and maintain current acquisition plans, appropriate milestone charts and related schedules.
Review, approve or redirect procurement planning.
Advise program officials of the procurement objectives to be used, and assist in the preparation of statements of work, determination and findings and solicitation documents.
Perform detailed analysis of all elements of cost in contractor proposals and conduct necessary coordination.
Develop new or innovative contracting approaches.
Plan the contractual strategy for the overall acquisition program for the organization.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One-year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at the Professional level in the Acquisition Career Field Contracting within 36 months of entrance on duty.
- The duties of this position require submission of, on an annual basis, OGE 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.
- Business travel required up to 5% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Planning and establishing the contractual strategy for the overall acquisition program; 2) Advising program officials of the contractual objectives; and 3) Developing and obtaining approval of complete contract requirement packages. This typically includes work performed at the next lower grade/level NH-03(GS-13) position in the federal service.
