About the Position: This position is located in the Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center is the Army's technology leader and largest technology developer. DEVCOM AC ensures the dominance of Army capabilities by creating, integrating, and delivering technology-enabled solutions to our Soldiers. DEVCOM AC is a major subordinate command of the U.S. Army Futures Command.
Duties
Leads a team of employees working in the area of identifying and developing solutions to complex business problems.
Solves day-to-day technical problems to assure timely and successful project completion.
Establishes, deploys and trains procurement related organizational policies, tools and methodologies for contracts.
Applies comprehensive knowledge of the administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the administration to administrative/business programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires submission of a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
- Contracting Professional Certification must be met within 3 years.
- This is a Critical Acquisition Position.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the specialized experience requirement listed below.
Specialized Experience: To qualify at the DE-04 grade level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level, DE-03 (GS-12/13) in the Federal Service or equivalent. Specialized experience is defined as expertise in the field of procurement strategy development, procurement package development and contract management.
