About the Position: This position is with the US Army Cadet Command Chief of Staff (JROTC) Operations and Training Division located in Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Duties
Serves as Education Services Specialist in the Operations Division in the Junior ROTC Directorate.
Develops, coordinates, and publishes training related products in support JROTC events.
Responsible for training programs to include training guidance, regulations, policies, and training resource management.
Oversees the establishment, probation, and disestablishment of JROTC programs.
Develops and briefs for approval of the implementation strategy for the command.
Keeps abreast of current developments by attending professional conferences and training seminars.
Analyze and assess the OML information and effectiveness of meeting ASL guidance.
Assesses program retention criteria and evaluates program effectiveness.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
- May require a 1-year probation period
- Business travel required 20% of the time/ Employee required to attend C3P0 training 3rd week from EOD at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
- Completion of Contracting Officer’s Representative course is required. If selected to perform this duty, the Command will ensure the incumbent completes and maintains the Certification Training within 60 days of appointment.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually.

Developing and/or presenting educational materials required for the education program; This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Only degrees from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education are acceptable to meet positive education requirements or to substitute education for experience.
