About the Position: Serves as the Deputy Director, Army Credentialing and Continuing Education Services for Soldiers Directorate (ACCESS), Army University. Participates fully with the ACCESS Director in the formulation and implementation of the Army's Voluntary Education programs and policies with significant Army-wide impacts.

Duties

Serves as expert staff advisor and consultant to the Director of ACCESS on Voluntary Education capabilities and policy matters relative to current operations. Plans, organizes staff, directs, coordinates and controls. Develops and provides briefings and reports for Army senior leaders and Congressional staff on status of all Voluntary Education Programs and operations including detailed and significant analysis of data and other metrics. Assigns work to subordinate supervisors (GS 13 and 14) based on selective considerations of such factors as the difficulty and requirements of assignments; availability, capability, and special qualifications of employees; and workload. Establishes and maintains continuous liaison with the functional staff, appropriate counterparts, elements of CAC, TRADOC and higher authority on all areas of responsibility.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: II have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Develops operating guidance for assigned Army Continuing Education System (ACES) program(s) and recommends revisions. Conducts studies to identify the counseling needs of Soldiers and the needs of Army personnel, including the Reserve Components and the ACES programs that can be utilized or modified to fulfill those needs. Recommends and develops new and improved programs based on results of survey findings and evaluations.
