This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Perform a variety of technical assignments related to the maintenance of budget records, compilation and preparation of reports and budgets for executing the military and civil funded programs.
Duties
Performs an array of services for the Real Estate Division, Savannah District. Provides administrative and budget support to Real Estate
Division employees.
Provides assistance in maintaining funds control of the overall Real Estate Programs. Assist Program Analysts and Budget Analysts with
financial/budget support.
Incumbent monitors funds through the review of various computer status sheets and periodic reports.
Exercises in-depth knowledge of accounting and the financial management system, utilizes techniques to conduct and determine
valid transactions, analysis, and research to resolve difficult or sensitive problems.
Coordinates activities of clerical personnel in all branches and offices under the Real Estate Division for activities including property accountability, credit card purchases, supplies, and timekeeping.
Works with the CPAC concerning Requesting Personnel Actions (RPAs) that may be required and assist with onboarding new employees.
Assist all hand receipt holders in the Real Estate Division with equipment inventory.
Serves as the Training Coordinator for the Division.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.
- Financial Management Certification Level I requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes monitoring funds through the review of various computer status sheets; tracking obligations and expenditures; and examining accounting records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Accounting, Finance, or Business.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
