This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for financial management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position:Perform a variety of technical assignments related to the maintenance of budget records, compilation and preparation of reports and budgets for executing the military and civil funded programs.
Duties
Maintain fiscal control over military, civil, and revolving fund reimbursable assigned.
Participate with the Program Analysts in the assembly, review, and consolidation of expenses and income monthly.
Access Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS) to produce reports used to forecast future budgetary needs, specifically program funds as applied to rent, one-time payments, and upgrades.
Tabulate cost data on individual projects and applies basic statistical formulas to budgetary data to illustrate the effects of changes in levels of funds for current projects.
Perform an array of services for the Real Estate Division, Savannah District. Provides administrative and budget support to Real Estate Division employees.
Coordinate activities of clerical personnel in all branches and offices under the Real Estate Division for activities including property accountability, credit card purchases, supplies, and timekeeping.
Work with the CPAC concerning Requesting Personnel Actions (RPAs) that may be required and assist with onboarding new employees.
Serve as the Training Coordinator for the Division.
Assist all hand receipt holders in the Real Estate Division with equipment inventory.
Administrative support includes Training Coordinator, Time and Attendance, and equipment inventory hand receipts.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.
- Financial Management Certification Level I requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes monitoring funds through the review of various computer status sheets; tracking obligations and expenditures; and examining accounting records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Accounting, Finance, or Business.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
