About the Position: Perform a variety of technical assignments related to the maintenance of budget records, compilation and preparation of reports and budgets for executing the military and civil funded programs.

Duties

Maintain fiscal control over military, civil, and revolving fund reimbursable assigned. Participate with the Program Analysts in the assembly, review, and consolidation of expenses and income monthly. Access Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS) to produce reports used to forecast future budgetary needs, specifically program funds as applied to rent, one-time payments, and upgrades. Tabulate cost data on individual projects and applies basic statistical formulas to budgetary data to illustrate the effects of changes in levels of funds for current projects. Performs an array of services for the Real Estate Division, Savannah District. Provides administrative and budget support to Real Estate Division employees. Coordinates activities of clerical personnel in all branches and offices under the Real Estate Division for activities including property accountability, credit card purchases, supplies, and timekeeping. Works with the CPAC concerning Requesting Personnel Actions (RPAs) that may be required and assist with onboarding new employees. Serves as the Training Coordinator for the Division. Assist all hand receipt holders in the Real Estate Division with equipment inventory. Administrative support includes Training Coordinator, Time and Attendance, and equipment inventory hand receipts.

Requirements

  • This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.
  • Financial Management Certification Level I requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.

OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Accounting, Finance, or Business. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Concepts, Policies, and Principles of BudgetDecision SupportFinancial Management SystemsFundamentals and Operations of Budget Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
