Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Budget Analyst, GS-0560-14, you will: Developing execution plans for funds appropriated to the Agency and provides for a system of administrative controls which will assure the most effective and economical expenditure of such funds. Notifying the Budget Officer of trends toward over-and under obligation of funds by Budget Activity, Earmark, or Research Portfolio. Overseeing the design, installation, and operation of budgetary control systems for the organization and related allocation reimbursable account funds. Overseeing execution of Agency's operations budget through management of Status of Funds Database that tracks and reconciles Agency operations spending.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Specialized Experience: To qualify for this Budget Analyst position at the GS-14 level, your resume must clearly demonstrate that you have one full year of specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to at least the GS-13 level in the federal service in ALL of the following: 1. Providing recommendations to senior level management or program managers on budget impacts. 2. Reviewing, tracking, controlling and/or approving multiple types of funding sources in accordance with pertinent laws and regulations. 3. Evaluating organization-wide financial goals and objectives or policies and strategies to assist managers with developing strategic financial operating plans.
