You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Digital Engineering Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
Duties
You will will develop the procurement strategy to meet hardware production and life-cycle support requirements for current to out-years as identified by leadership.
You will develop the execution plans that identify the material required for the given period, the method to obtain the material, and the schedule that procurement submittals must be processed to obtain the necessary material in a timely manner.
You will participate in hardware design, in-service engineering, and product support integration meetings to understand material demands, purchase priorities, and changes that impact design.
You will develop and maintain procurement strategies and execution plans used to produce shipboard systems, modernization kits, and shore-site lab/facility assets, as well as material used in the support of fleet life-cycle sustainment.
You will communicate with the program, project, division, branch, and team leadership across integrated product teams to ensure current requirements, and priorities are planned for, and be prepared to address upcoming or emergent requirements.
You will direct a team of procurement specialists to accomplish the necessary material requests per the give procurement strategy and schedule.
You will maintain a detailed tracking system that can clearly identify material requirements, procurement methods, status of completed/uncompleted procurements, and related details for each of the US and FMS customers.
You will develop and maintain tracking tools in coordination with stakeholders and the DPC to ensure the records provide the necessary level of procurement and/or material detail to quickly provide routine reports and action-item responses.
You will prepare and maintain routine reports that outline the procurement strategy, procurement plan/schedule, methods planned/used, and material submittal status (purchased vs not-purchase) with related explanations or notes.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, GS-11, in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing procurement strategies and execution plans for material needed to produce and support shipboard systems or other assets, while ensuring timely acquisition and effective tracking of resources in order to meet operational and life-cycle requirements for armed forces or foreign military sales.
