About the Position: This position is located at Ft. Rucker, Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence. Fort Rucker is located in the "Wiregrass" area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Recreation activities are abundant in the immediate and surrounding areas for family and fun.
Duties
Holds self and others accountable for measurable high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results.
Determines objectives, sets priorities, and executes organization policies for completeness and accuracy of work.
Complies with established control systems and rules.
Control procurement scheduling and distribution to forecast the overhaul and disposal of materiel.
Perform inventory reconciliation.
Executes replenishment strategies to meet enterprise supply planning objectives to satisfy customer requirements.
Receive and validate requisition orders to release orders and distribute.
Use computers, software applications, databases, and automated systems to accomplish work.
Stay abreast of property automation requirements to ensure system is current.
Maintain current stock record accounts utilizing automation applications and databases.
Conduct investigations to determine cause of discrepancies to initiate Supply Discrepancy Reports as required.
Perform spot check inspections to ensure procedure compliance or system accuracy.
Ensure all receipt/turn-in transactions are timely.
Monitor property automation requirements as prescribed by requirements.
Accepts responsibility for mistakes.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This is a Term position scheduled to last 3 years position will not be extended for a permanent position.
- Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period. Employees serving a trial period can be removed with limited appeal rights.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must reflect: One year of specialized experience 1) executing government policies and guidance regarding accountable property management automated records; 2) utilize a variety of automated supply systems; 3) resolve issues pertaining to property management and efficiently conduct inventory system inquiries to resolve program issues; 4) review work related to stock control data entries and perform periodic spot check inspections. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Chain Management, Materials, or Logistics Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
