Duties
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, Office of Intelligence Operations; Firearms Operations Division, NIBIN Enforcement Support Systems (NESS) Branch located in either Washington, DC or Wichita County, Kansas.
The Salary listed reflects the rest of U.S. scale and, if applicable, will be adjusted to meet the locality pay or cost of living expenses of the duty location upon selection.
Qualifications
You must:
Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and
Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service by 09/13/2024
To qualify for the GS-14, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13.
Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Examples of specialized experience include:
Analyzing data to identify actual or potential problems and trends and advising higher level management of deficiencies
Reviewing, evaluating and recommending improvements in practices to mission support areas; and
Developing new and innovative intelligence reports utilizing various systems such as the National Integrated Ballistic Information Newtwork (NIBIN)
