Duties
As a Public Health Analyst you will:
Serve as an analyst responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and advising on a well-defined and established program of a moderate complexity.
Develop and/or implement standards and recommendations; gather data and coordinate with others to develop program guidelines, goals, plans, and strategies; develop qualitative and quantitative methods and strategies for planning, evaluating, and documenting program activities.
Provide coordination, advice, oversight, and data management for components of research and/or demonstration projects.
Exercise responsibilities related to the initiation, management, and/or close-outs of grants, awards, and/or cooperative agreements.
Serve as functional representative for all related projects and activities and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:
GS-09:
To qualify at the GS-09 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level, which must include the following experience: Supporting environmentalpublic health infrastructure; environmental health topics; conducting analyses; creating presentations and written materials and working with people from diverse backgrounds.
OR
Have completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree with a major study in public health or other field of study with course work directly related to the work of the position to be filled OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related, from an accredited college or university.
OR have a combination of education and specialized experience that together meets 100% of the qualification requirement for this position.
GS-11:
To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level, which must include the following experience: enhancing environmental public health infrastructure; collaborated on environmental health topics; conducting analysis; developing presentations, written materials, and visual aids; and building partnerships.
OR
Have completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree with a major study in public health or other field of study with course work directly related to the work of the position to be filled OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related, from an accredited college or university.
OR
Have a combination of education and specialized experience that together meets 100% of the qualification requirement for this position.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Promotion potential: Promotion to the next grade level is at management's discretion and is based on your meeting qualifications and time-in-grade requirements, demonstrated ability to perform the higher-level duties, the continuing need for the higher-level duties, and administrative approval. Promotion to the next grade level is not guaranteed and no promise of promotion is implied.
