You will serve as a INTERNATIONAL MILITARY STUDENT OFFICER in the Training Command of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.

Duties
You will apply analytical and evaluative methods to research program information, interpret guidelines and resolve procedural problems or issued, or make recommendations for process improvements that have a widespread impact.
You will be responsible for ensuring all pay and allowances are calculated, submitted, and tracked for each individual student (training, travel, lodging, health care, and payments).
You will be responsible for authorizing changes to orders, payments, and travel arrangements; processing and coordinating a wide variety of transactions through the disbursing office.
You will create, monitor, analyze and update formal school schedule within a database system; ensure schedule information is correct by validating against Course Descriptive Data and Programs of Instruction.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector planning and organizing work in student administrative as well as coordinating and conducting cultural student field trips; AND managing data to process student information within a database.

~ Incumbent must attain DoD Security Cooperation Workforce (SCW) Certification and complete related continuous learning requirements in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2017, Title 10 United States Code, Section 384 and Security Cooperation Certification Program 2.0 requirements.
~ Requirements for Proficiency Level 2 - At least 1 year of successful SC work experience with a performance appraisal rating of 3 or better.
~ Incumbent must complete DoD SCW Practitioner level certification requirements within two years of entering the SC position.
~ 60 hours of continuing education (CUE) every two years.
Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-09:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
