The C Division is responsible for developing the understanding of art through research, collecting, publishing, and permanent and temporary installations and exhibitions in ways that reflect our nation and its histories and that conserve the collections of the National Gallery of Art.

Qualifications
Candidates must meet the Qualification Standards Handbook requirements for the GS-0343-11/12.
GS-11: For this position,Candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent in responsibility to the GS-09 level in the Federal service, recording art acquisitions for a museum or cultural institution.
GS-12: For this position, Candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent in responsibility to the GS-11 level in the Federal service, coordinating art acquisitions for a museum or cultural institution

Program Management – Skill in program management functions sufficient to manage records and finances, establish deadlines, track progress and oversee submissions.
Acquisitions – Knowledge of art acquisition methods and processes.
Communication – Ability to communicate and provide advice to other staff members in writing, verbally and through presentation.
