Engineering Technician (Focal) for FMP Center - FTW.

Duties

Serves as full performance level Field Maintenance Program (FMP) Engineering Technician assigned to facility improvement projects such as Engine Generator (E/G) and Power Conditioning Systems (PCS) installs. Incumbent applies broad experience and advanced technical knowledge on multiple, varying and complex assignments in support of the National Airspace System (NAS). Plans, coordinates and performs work with a high degree of independence, keeping manager advised of significant problem areas.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
  • Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
  • Work assignments can be physical and stenuous in nature.
  • Duties may include climbing, lifting up to 80 pounds.
  • Must obtain a Class A CDL (Commercial Drivers License) with airbrake endorsement within 180 days of appointment and maintain a Class A CDL while serving in the position.

To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.Specialized experience for this position may include, but is not limited to experience: Experience and expert technical knowledge of overseeing complex construction projects.
