This position is located in the Office of Self Governance (OSG), Office of the Assistant Secretary, Indian Affairs in Washington, D.C. If selected for this position, you will exercise practical judgment in applying appropriate principles, techniques, and methodology in policy program self governance issues. In addition, you will apply program knowledge, research, analytical skills, and oral and written communication abilities needed for problem analysis and organization coordination.
Duties
Reviews and consolidates information from financial and statistical reports.
Designs, establishes, and operates a system for developing and collecting a consistent set of data.
Tracks tribes leases and coordinates lease negotiation on program space.
Prepares and responds to correspondence, legal tort claims, administrative records, regulations, report studies, and data calls.
Acts as a Freedom of Information (FOIA) coordinator.
Coordinates quality control responses to negotiators.
Writes and prepares the Annual Report for Congress.

Qualifications
GS-12:
To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or equivalent performing the following: 1) Writing reports; 2) Coordinating financial data; 3) Preparing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests; 4) Preforming internal control reviews; and 5) Acting as a policy advisor.
GS-13:
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing the following: 1) Writing grants; 2) Negotiating contracts; 3) Preparing and presenting briefings; and 4) administering funds.
All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date.
