This position is located in the US. Department of Labor (DOL), Employment and Training Administration (ETA), Office of Apprenticeship (OA). It is established to engage industry and Federal stakeholders in the creation and expansion of quality Registered Apprenticeship programs in high-growth sectors through partnerships, outreach and the provision of ongoing technical assistance.
Duties
The responsibilities described are for the GS-13 full performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope performed with less independence, and limited complexity.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Requires a probationary period if the requirement has not been met.
- Candidate required to obtain the necessary security/investigation level.
Qualifications
GS-12: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-11 in the federal service or equivalent. Specialized experience is experience in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled, and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience is defined as having ALL the following statements:
Experience assisting with marketing and outreach efforts to promote expansion of the use of apprenticeship programs that targets underrepresented populations.
Experience analyzing and making recommendations based on Registered Apprenticeship program data.
Experience supporting Federal agencies and/or other industry stakeholders (e.g. employers, educational institutions, community-based organizations and workforce system partners) in the development of Registered Apprenticeships.
