About the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Plans and Operations Division, at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.

Duties

Provide staffing, recruitment, and placement assistance to managers and supervisors. Coordinate personnel actions for a variety of positions and grades with servicing ASC Civilian Human Resources Service Center (CHRSC). Receive and review official Requests to Fill (RTF) to confirm accuracy of information. Review position descriptions created by management to ensure compliance with position management and classification principles, policies, and regulations prior to submission for the Classification CHRSC. Assist management officials and subordinate organizations with performance management related questions. Assist in the development of awards documentation and processing. Consolidate data and prepare various analyses and required reports for the Personnel Office (S-1).

  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Qualifications

See Proof of Eligibility for an extensive list of document requirements for all employment authorities Current Civilian Employees of the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Fort Eisenhower Logistics Readiness Center, within the local commuting area. Consideration will also be given to current Department of Army Civilian employees with competitive status. In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Performing a variety of human resources functions for an organization; 2) Monitoring an organization's workforce management activities such as staffing, recruitment, position management, and performance management for compliance; 3) Providing guidance to management on personnel actions; and 4) Utilizing automated systems and/or databases to consolidate workforce management data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). -OR- Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Human Resources Management or another related field. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) -OR- Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementOral CommunicationPersonnel and Human ResourcesWorkforce Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
