About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.

Duties

Executes a wide range of logistical support functions which include sustainment operations (supply/COR/GCSS Army), maintenance, logistics planning and coordination in support of military, civilian, and contractor personnel. Liaises with directorates and functional organizations within the logistical field to ensure appropriate logistical support is provided and development requirements are met. Maintains current COR training requirements in accordance with (IAW) appropriate regulations and policies. Serves as a Government Purchase Card holder. Conducts inspections in support of the CSDP and Command Maintenance Program. Reviews Common Tables of Allowances, Tables of Organization and Equipment, and Tables of Distribution and Allowances reflecting current and projected requirements in the command in accordance with the current and projected missions. Advises and coordinates special project training in areas such as classrooms, camera projects, unit facilities, classroom facilities, and administration areas. Provides oversite of the acquisition and maintenance of real property equipment, maintenance equipment, supply products, services, and life-cycle replacement program equipment.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance.
  • Temporary duty (TDY) business travel is required approximately 5 percent of the time.
  • Incumbent must sign an agreement acknowledging that you are aware of the obligation and willing to be displaced under reduction in force procedures upon the return of the former incumbent.
  • This is a Cyber Term position scheduled to last 2 years. A Cyber Term Appointment may be extended to a maximum of five years depending upon the needs of management

Additional information about transcripts is in this document. THIS POSITION IS IN THE PROFESSIONAL WORK CATEGORY AT THE FULL PERFORMANCE WORK LEVEL WITHIN THE CES OCCUPATIONAL STRUCTURE. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1) analyzing logistics operations to develop proposed changes in internal procedures and/or policies; 2) preparing illustrative material such as charts or slides to convey information such as statistical or administrative date covering logistics related subjects; 3) providing technical guidance to resolve logistical issues; 4) coordinating training and guidance to all organization units on maintenance related topics; and 5) experience as Government Purchase Card Holder, Contracting Officer and coordinating and implementing Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-Army) computer application software, hardware, and implementation procedures. OR EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related (must upload transcripts) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
