About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence - Cyber School Tng Mgt Ofc at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.
Duties
Ensure manpower, facilities, training devices, instructors, and supply requirements for all courses are available and support for courses is coordinated and processed in a timely fashion
Manage the TRADOC-specific training that instructors must possess in order to be qualified.
Serves as the Cyber School Test Control Officer responsible for maintaining and safeguarding all materials and Test Control space
Provide staff advice and recommendations to the Cyber School Deputy Commandant, Director of Training, CTED Sergeant Major (SGM), and subordinate division chiefs, particularly in the areas of daily operations, plans, and policy.
Provide guidance on documenting and resourcing training requirements for staff, training courses, and records management for the school.
Prepare, reviews, and submits all required contract documents to higher headquarters in accordance with the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP)
Plans work to be accomplished, interprets policy and procedures, and establishes priorities.
Assigns work to subordinates and delegates authority as necessary.
Evaluates performance and provides advice, counsel, and guidance to subordinates.
Conducts periodic follow-ups to discuss progress/problems and ensure the attainment of program goals.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
- This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program and must pass urinalysis testing, as required, prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Temporary duty (TDY) business travel is required approximately 20 percent of the time.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed. A

Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1) Managing training requirements for instructors to ensure qualifications 2) Providing guidance on documenting training requirements for staff for the school 3) Coordinating contractions with staff to ensure contracts are submitted timely and in accordance with regulations, guidance, and policies.
