This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Office of the Principal Deputy Administrator, Office of Compliance (AC), External Audit Liaison Section (ACA).
This position(s) primary purpose is to implement compliance and risk mitigation within the agency.
Duties
As a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER, your typical work assignments may include:
Represents the organization in handling complaints, arbitrating disputes, or resolving grievances.
Assesses and revises policies and procedures as needed to find ways to improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency of work.
Investigates and resolves significant matters on behalf of management.
Ensures that the work of the section/unit employees complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets agency or customer needs.

Qualifications

Applicants applying for the GS-15 must meet one of the following requirements:
A. Have at least one full year of qualifying specialized experience that is at least equivalent in difficulty and complexity to work performed at the GS-14 grade level. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of Management; 2) Serves as the delegated authority and point of contact regarding the overall external audit process program; 3) Leads working groups of stakeholders in order to implement steps required to address risk/close gaps; and 4) Reviews policy for compliance gaps and makes recommendations for policy revisions or formulation of new policy following external audits or reviews.
