This position is part of the Office of Environmental Management - Los Alamos Field Office, Department of Energy. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will be developing and ensuring implementation of quality assurance (QA) and other applicable quality requirements. You will also review, monitor and evaluate the Office of Environmental Management (EM), Los Alamos (LA) field office, and its QA implementation and verify compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and DOE Orders.
Duties
As a Management and Program Analyst, you will:
Advise management regarding contractor quality assurance (QA)
Validate audit assessment results and oversee the corrective action process.
Identify, develop, analyze new or modified administrative program policies, regulations, or objectives.
Conduct follow-up reviews to assure that corrective actions have been carried out.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate activities for performance of certification audits.

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
Performs quality assurance and certification audits.
Conducting environmental remediation, and disposal of waste.
Reviewing policies, regulations, and procedures to assess facility operation compliance.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
